The Worklist

There's much to be done before the boat is race ready. Most of these
items are underway and many have been completed. Here's a mostly
complete list:
-          New Baltoplate bottom  (DONE...FINALLY!)

-          Minor blister repair  (done)

-          Remove and rebed through-hulls and insulate from core with solid glass  (done)

-          Remove and reinstall prop (it’s loose)   (done)

-          Have Martec recondition prop?  (not necessary)

-          New head (plumbing looks OK, just swapping the head) (done)

-          Either fix existing instruments or replace, nothing too fancy   (depth/speed OK; wind to be rebuilt)

-          All new running rigging (Done)

-          Replace sheaves as necessary (Done, click here for details)

-          Check turning blocks at base of mast, replace if necessary (not necessary)

-          Replace original Antal “line stoppers” with Spinlock clutches. I had to beat the Antals open with a winch
handle when they were under load

-          Careful inspection of standing rigging by professional rigger.  (Done - OK)

-          New Tuff Luff Aero headstay foil (Done)

-          New fixed mount GPS (Done)

-          New fixed mount VHF  (Done)

-          New stereo, inside speakers only  (Done)

-          Replace Lexan on forward hatch (Done)

Lewmar One Touch winch handles  (Done)

 Spinlock Asymmetric Tiller Extension  (Done)

Harken windward sheeting traveler car (This will wait until next year)

 Rigid Boom vang  (Done)

Engine tune up: hoses, clamps, filters, zincs and fluids (Done)

Shore power (not a priority, won't happen anytime soon - if at all)

Electrical connections: check, clean and upgrade as needed (underway)

-          Find out why aft bilge area is not draining forward to where the bilge pump is

 Install lower lifeline at gate (gate is on stbd. and there is no lower lifeline right where crew will be hiking)

-          Polish and wax topsides (heavily oxidized)

-          Remove all traces of former name

 Order and apply “Rambunctious” vinyl graphic on both quarters  (Done)

    Rebed chainplates (Done)

-          Varnish exterior wood
(will wait until it cools off - too hot for varnish!)

-          Purchase Coast Guard required safety equipment (Done)

-          Lots of incidentals plus a couple of big items that I can’t remember or haven’t discovered yet
