J/30 Manuals, Brochures and Literature
I have a fair amount of old literature relating to the J/30. These include
manuals, service bulletins, sales flyers and, best of all, some old J/30 Journals.

As I scan them, I'll upload them here.

If you have literature that you do not see on this page, I would love to get a
copy - particularly of the sales flyers and J-30 Journals. If you would care to
send them to me, I will scan them and mail them back to you along with an
electronic copy on CD.

Manuals - The service and operations manuals are very large downloads, but
they are extremely informative, with exploded parts diagrams and illustrated
repair/maintenance processes. I am in the process of isolating and uploading
individual chapters to make downloading needed information more efficient.

2GM
The 2QM15 was common in boats 1981 and older. Newer boats are more
likely to have a version of the Yanmar 2GM. Both are excellent motors. The
2GM was built to reduce vibration and is nominally lighter. For a first class
reference to the 2GM, visit J/30 Rhapsody's website. Along with a nicely
photo-documented rebuild, Bill has also supplied excellent maintenance and
support links for the motor:

Bylaws and measurements - these pages are reproduced in each J/30 journal.
I've omitted them from the scans to minimize file sizes. The class rules change
over time, of course, so these are purely archival.
