Welcome to the website of Rambunctious, J/30 Hull number 280.
The boat is raced on both shores of Lake Pontchartrain, which
forms the northern boundary of New Orleans, and - occasionally -
along the Gulf Coast. We also use the boat for daysailing and
weekending.

This site covers J/30's, sailing and improving
Rambunctious, and
events in the local sailing community.

We purchased the boat in May of 2007 and have extensively
upgraded the rigging, hardware, and bottom. To see our worklist
and check our progress,
click here. We will photo document some
projects on our
Maintenance and Upgrades page.

Over the last year, we've participated in a few regattas and weekly
beercan racing, with mixed results. The boat is a lot of fun to race
and sail and we're competing against some very talented crews.

This site will grow as we use and improve our sailboat. Thanks for
visiting and please come back soon.

______________________________
Despite close calls from Fay, Gustav
and Ike, the 2008 Hurricane Season
has - so far - gone well. Rambunctious
and the rest of the New Orleans J/30
fleet have no damage.

few photos of the marina area in
Mandeville after Ike's wind and surge.
