Ike Photos and the 2008
Hurricane Season (so far)

We've contended with tropical weather from three systems: Tropical Storm Fay and Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
Gustav prompted an evacuation and a real scare. Ike surprised us all by delivering surge and wind that exceeded
Gustav's - despite make landfall much further west. Ike was a HUGE storm. For both Gustav and Ike, the surge
raised water levels in the marina 7+ feet. At one point, I tried to get out to check on the boat and the water depth
made it impossible. We returned when the water was waist high in most spots and took the photos below. Click on
