The annual Wooden Boat Festival went on this year despite the hurricane. It was postponed to the weekend
of November 20 and, while there were considerably fewer boats than normal, there was still a lot of people,
food, beer and music. The Wooden Boat Festival is held on the Tchefuncte River on the Northshore of Lake
Pontchartrain. The weather was perfect and it was a day well spent.
